Philosophucked Part 1

Vanity, it is all vanity. This show of nobility, of pride over prejudice, of taking the "Moral" high ground, which is just absurd. The lines of good and evil are blurred together at times; not always is what is good for me, what is good for you. The same can also be said about evil as well, but evil is wrong and good is right. Who is the authority on Good and Evil? Is it God or Man? It is merely our interpretation of what supposed wise men of old have said; and what we see and learn from our own experiences?
We are all capable and probably have told a "little white lie" to save ourselves from possible troubles, but why? Because little white lies never hurt anyone, the only thing it can hurt is our conscience. No one can say that they have never lied, because it is in our nature to do so. Rather, is lying always Bad? I would have to concede that not in all cases is lying bad, because it doesn't hurt anyone but ourselves and only if we allow it to do so. The guilt that we feel when we lie is an emotion, which is nothing more than a cognitive response to our actions, and it can be trained and calculated; as with any emotion. So, do our emotions dictate to us what is Good or Evil? I'm not really certain if you can say yes or not to the question because I think that we do what we want do to how much pleasure will we get out of it. Though even to say that we are driven by what pleases us, still negates the suffering we endure to reach what we find pleasurable. That is the uncertainties that philosophy, because within the human condition there is much variation, gradation, possibilities to be sought out, paths to take, that can anyone say with any amount of certainty what is Good and Evil?
